Awesome build thread! Took a two nights to fully catch up but glad I did! It’s awesome that your husband fully supports you! I did have a question are you using the Red Sea doser for Auto water change or the DOS. I thought I read you bought the DOS but don’t remember seeing it. I’m also thinking of buying the Red Sea doser! Looks awesome I read it’s not good for auto water changes that’s the reason I was asking. Awesome build wish nothing but the best for you and your husband!
thanks. Can you tell I'm a "chatty cathy?" 10 pages and no tank yet lol's.

I have the DOS for the awc which isn't set up yet. I also have the RS doser for the tank dosing. I have 2 others I got from amazon but I wanted wifi for this tank so decided to go Red Sea for the majority of the equipment. This tank will be app controlled!

More on the progress front. Hubby got the hole in the wall from Laundry room to office. Tomorrow he'll pop the plugs on the box so I can put tubes/cables from garage to L room. Have the apex ato into office. Might need a longer bus if I mount the FMM in the laundry room. Depends on where in office all the apex gets mounted. I have one 30 foot for the DOS to the FMM or into the office. Will order the 15' for FMM to Apex module in office.

He also "stuffed" his boards for the box he's doing for the water change station. It will be nice not to have to turn on and off the water valve to make new water. Historically when it was in the kitchen, I'd forget about it and flood.... If it
floods garage: POW everything will shut down.

84x24x24. The idea was to have something long for the fish to swim in and if I do it right shallow enough to maintain on a 36” stand. Now I’m planning my water mixing station in a tiny closet built under the basement steps

wow, that's great! So exciting! The tank I wanted first was the new s-1000. It was 84x30x25 I think and just too big for a 10x10 room. Let me know when you start your build thread

Cool! You can also, maybe, add the link into you signature line as well. Not sure if that is partners only though

So more progress. I think there will be fast moving progress from now on. Just over a week to go!! Whoo hoooo. and okay, I'm both excited and a bit stressed and nervous about getting this build going!

Hubby finished the Ardurino Water Tank Controller. He's now writing the software for it. He also started on the mounting brackets for the lights using 2 TV mounting arms (like the ones on my 125g)

My tasks this week:
-run all the cords and tubes from garage to bedroom. Won't be final as hubby has to break the tabs in the electtrical boxes (fire safty as the wall is a fire wall from garage to laundry room), but I can run them in and out to do a dry run and cut water tubes to size. I'll plan on way extra lengths.
-Need to order a 15' bus cable.
-set up the DOS for awc. I have Monday off (hope I don't get called in)
-start cleaning and clearing office and hall ways etc.
-clean hall bathroom lol's so it is "company" ready for the movers lol's
-doing some final epoxy to the fingers of my centerpiece scape-don't trust just the glue where they broke and I'm putting them back together
-Start a plan to dismantle the 125g.
-start filling brutes with rodi water. Will add salt closer to tank delivery
-do some small water changes on old tank to get a brute of old water for tank. Pump and powerhead ready and will keep an eye on the salinity. Don't dare shut down powerheads (down to 2 now out of 4) or the skimmer so that means small batches taken out and replaced. I figure 30 gal old water should be enough for the new tank.
-Oh, do a video from driveway, to house, into house and into the office for the lfs for the installer.

Yeah, lots to keep me busy yet...

Water tank controller.

Hey, the build is looking great! but I'd honestly reconsider the skimmer, if this aquarium is going to be running in your home office the noise would be too loud imo.

Thanks. I'll have to hope for the best as I can't afford to replace it! The room is small, so all of the tank will be noisy lol's. My desk will be 3 feet in front of it...

Ugh! Not sure I should be worried. Got the tracking number on my tank from the LFS.
9/23/202108:54:37 AMArrived at OAKLAND, CA
09/23/202109:04:48 PMDeparted OAKLAND, CA in route to destination terminal
09/24/202101:24:14 AMDeparted OAKLAND, CA in route to destination terminal
Where the heck is it! Oakland is probably not even an hour from Hayward where the tank is going! No movement since the 24th?

Sure hoping it gets delivered tomorrow or the weekend or I might not be able to get it on Wed. LFS said if they get by Tue they can do it, but does that mean deliver late on Wed. then not help me set up?

Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!

Tomorrow, I'll fill another brute with RO water. Holding off on making salt until I know the tank will be delivered. Will also take 10 gal of old tank water out. Prob. every other day or so in order to get about 30 gal worth for the new tank

Good news front my other tank has no3 at 5! And po4 at .05.
