Recently left my partner in charge of my tank while I was away and he was a bit overzealous with the reef roids, so I came back to a bryopsis outbreak. I'm actually a bit excited, as I've always wanted sea slugs or nudibranchs but haven't been able to meet their dietary needs until now.

I'm an ecologist and well-versed in invasive management (the topic of my dissertation research) so I'm quite confident I can manage the bryopsis easily even without the slugs. There haven't been any new additions so the bryopsis must have been present for a while but only broke out after the nutrient spike. So, the question is whether I can maintain enough bryopsis to feed 2-3 slugs or if they'll eat it faster than I can grow it? I'm willing to dose nutrients and set up a separate bryopsis culture so I can supplement the tank if it gets too sparse.

The bryopsis is in my 75 g clownfish reef tank with 75 lbs live rock, 50 lbs live sand, 13 clowns, 7 nems, clams, hermits, conchs.

I just put it out I was looking for aptasia for my nudis, as they’re about to run out.
Setting up a little tank for them. Someone just came through with some aptasia.

If you are planning on keeping them long term it May be advisable to set a separate tank to grow bryopsis.
As they multiply in your main tank they may run out of food eventually.

What slugs/nudi's eat bryopsis? I know bergia eat aptasia, but I'm excited to learn of one that eats bryopsis.

Frokm my understanding it is not guaranteed the lettuce slugs will eat it as they are various species of them that are practically indistinguishable and eat only 1 kind of algae per species.
