Just a little quick update!!
Added roughly 25 pieces in here from @RiptideAquaculture!
My élégance is stunning !! I might need more...

Have a little micro garden going on, too!
I'll have to get some more close ups!
I am just telling myself I can’t make enough space for elegance corals - not really working ;)

Great photo of my sailfin and Natasha.
But here you can see how scratched the glass is on the inside

My best friend decided to show up, unannounced this afternoon, so we could keep each other company, and this is what she walked in to see

Pardon the mess and my super comfy, baggy lounge clothes!!! This is my most recently "established" build, and this area of the house is just off from the den/family room where the wood stove and 55g are.
This tank is coming along slowly, as it's the largest tank I've ever owned and I'm really taking my time.

Long sappy post starts here, so click away if you don't care, I won't be offended.

My best friend, Kristen, is a girl I ride motorcycles with, and her mom was a cancer patient who coincidentally became a patient at the practice where I work. I've known Kristen for years, but just met her mother about 6 months ago, after a hospitalization where she met the Doc I work for. Her mom was suffering greatly from a very aggressive cancer, and I was just talking about her at work yesterday.
Kristen's mom passed away at home with her today.
The last time I saw her, Kristen's mom cried and hugged me and just looked at me with a gratitude in her eyes I've never seen or felt before.
I am so very thankful for this hobby and all you guys keeping me company, sane, and finding something that gives me something uplifting to focus on. Something I am able to learn about at home and contribute to the mental health and joy my patients express when they come into a very scary place.
and right here is where I would have ended up in the tank

Great job on your build. I haven't seen one of these tanks styles in a while and like their shape. My last deep tank was a 56-gallon cube and I too had to stand on the handle to get down to the bottom but with much less grace than you. I had to laugh when I saw the picture of your son staring in the tank as I and my son do the same.

OK, guys !!!
I've felt very stuck with this tank a bit.
Between the height and the shape of the rocks, I wasn't completely happy and there was SO much unused and underutilized rock, space, everything... So tada!
I'm not 100% sure I love it yet, but there's soooo much more room!!
Good thing, too. I have 3 shipments of coral coming today!!!

Forgive the dark photo. I snapped that this morning before I ran out the door for work when the lights were just turning on .

Messed around in there for about an hour last night.
This morning when everything was settled, I saw some frags I need to save later that fell behind some rocks.

I am dreaming about that 210 more and more by the day!

Today is finally the day for a much needed tank update!

I've added some new tenants that now need naming, I will show them off in the following post.

Today is water change day. Fifteen gallons out and eighteen gallons prepped to go.
Here's my dilemma. I have like ~70 lbs of rock I could add. I've been wanting to add to it for a year now. I finally came across 220lbs of rock for $80 and couldn't say no. I've shared that between all 4 tanks.
Feel free to add suggestions for rock placement. Plenty od prim real estate to be added.

Also, I have a 4k gyre that I swapped back out of the 55g. I need to add it somewhere as I had a lot of dead spots.

Time to get your feet wet! The rock structure on the right could you add a shelf a few inches above the sand bed.

I try quite hard NOT to get my feet wet.
