I was MIA for a while. Thrilled to come back and see all the developments happening.

It is nice that a company finally stepped up and gave you guys discounts on equipment. I still find it a little sad that some company hasn't simply donated needed equipment. Nevertheless, discounts are discounts!
Glad that you are back!

We do get “public aquaria prices” at many brands and wholesales. And Triton lab donates at lot to us(thank you so much Triton!). I think a couple of other partners are on their way in.

When it comes to sponsors we need to get a bit more organised on how to work with them and so on. The Aquarium is a part of a large organisation, so we must do things the right way..
But we are working on it and things are moving forward. In January onwards we will get more help dealing with sponsors and contracts.

Today more colleagues left the museum. Mr Broström and his friends(the guys that donated a lot of money so the museum could be built) were move to another location. They will be back when the new Aquarium is done and the park in front of the museum is redone. (Talking about the statues for those who hasn’t been at the museum)

Here are some corals in order. Very satisfying :D

And finally one colony who gets special treatment. Just wanted to try something.. Don’t worry, it’s no funny chemicals involved and the coral is doing fine :)

This is what we have to live with the coming year. Compact living:)
Here my colleagues put up two new shelves to get more room for breeding urchins. On the first shelf, it’s the tank with an apartment for BTAs. Middle shelf is buckets for urchin larvae’s. And top shelf Isochryssis algae for feeding the urchins.

And here’s the Ostracod again! Let me know if you know the species!

Those "frags" would be colonies here, in the US.

Did he spill his coffee because he didn't have it in the proper storage location?

First time I use a mop, I was 16 years old, a person who did it professionally show me how to use it the proper way, because if you don't use it right you can throw out your back.

That is a very good guess. But in this case it was a a part of @Lasse’s boot camp, learning the routines for working alone in the Aquarium on weekends and holidays. Friday last week he got some extra practice in our Friday cleaning routines(that’s when he got to try mopping). Today was the dress rehearsal and tomorrow is his big premiere! :D

Sorry to say - @Sallstrom does not tell the true story about the mop. The others was complaining that the mop was short. it was only around 90 cm - they could not mop without hurting their back. Because I´m the shortest of them (but not the smallest :D) - they want me to do the moping. But I´m a lazy one (and therefore very creative) and figure out that it was adjustable and how the adjustable shaft work - and voila - the mop is of the right length for them :D. I did not mop this time either :p thats the reason why I´m glad when I show them how it works

Sincerely Lasse

So Lasse is very familiar with my method of mopping. Take the mop, hand it to the person next to you, and say the floor needs to be cleaned as he heads to the coffee pot! :p

That is why you should NOT climb on the PVC pipes in the Aquarium.... ;)

Have some Christmas ham now Lasse and enjoy working on your own a couple of days, without me complaining all the time :D

@Lasse They probably knew the mop extended the whole time, they were just trying to get you to mop ;) ;Hilarious ;Hilarious
To be honest - I'm not 100% sure on that. :D
