Laptop! Just a lot of lithium.

I just had to look coffee up ;Smuggrin It's acually 54mg potassium in 100g filter coffee. More than Ca and Mg. But overall there's 99,4% water and not much else. So coffee is probably aquarium safe. A laptop on the other hand, I'm not sure.. ;)

This wouldn’t even throw chemistry off in a nano!

It's whats in the cup that matters! Is the coffee good in Germany? :)
It’s good, there just isn’t much of it. I’d never get any work done if I had this at home. Go to the machine, get coffee, go back to my desk, cup is empty by the time I get there. Back to the coffee machine....

Almost done with 11 rows of Acropora species. Just to keep them sorted in one tank. We still have larger colonies of many of the species in other tanks.

And we have an ongoing project for breeding Urchins. First out Diadema setosum. Might be too hard for us, but they are easy to get to spawn. So they are a good test organism for our setup(which isn’t existing yet, my colleague is building a kind of kreisel at the moment) :)

And finally, here’s the old road to the boatyard. Probably built around 1650. The archaeologists are doing their thing and mapping what’s under the park in front of the museum.

And i did not build sail (boats) - I was with building oil ships and the famous PD-50 . I was one of the shipyards workers that according to Wikipedia "scrambled to fix the damage "after the accident in the Rivö fjord outside the shipyard. It was like a torpedo have gone through 100 mm steel planking. Seeing that - you understand the force of water.

Sincerely Lasse

Amazing that the old road is still there a couple of hundred years later!
Nice to see that work is in progress with the new building. But I agree with my brother in temperate tanks, where are the pics of the cold aquariums?

Yes, please produce those photos what we were promised! We had to go to Havets Hus today to get our fix( https://www.havetshus.se/en/ ). They were very nice and kind, some cool fish as well. They have no proper kelp tank though so your plans are still tempting. Got a small tour of their breeding and quarantine system which was very nice and showed some interesting feeding habits that only those with continuous water changes would do... They guy there seemed very confused at first when we said we kept temperate species at home. But he warmed up soon after and even offered us free water for our water changes, said that two other local aquarists already came regularly and got some from them.

Never got those kind offers from you! :) Although to make it break even compared to buying salt and mixing myself considering fuel costs for the trip I would need to collect.... About 300 litres(80 gallons) every time? That's a lot of buckets...

Don’t worry guys! Even if our cold water side has been shrinking due to the chiller issues, in the new aquarium there will be conditions for lots of cold water tanks and great water! Just checked the cold water tank, need to clean the windows. Will fix pictures later! :D

In the 70:s I went with a car to Kyrkesund on Orust, an island 70 km north of Göteborg to collect water.
I had 6 10 gallon cans in the back of the car. The water was 2,8% so I salted it up with syntetic aquarium salt.
HW was the best at that time. Fun to see that it still exists.

I've just recently switched to HW and I am impressed with how clean it mixes and easily it dissolves. I wish it came in a bucket for storage, but that is a minor complaint.

It’ll be our first serious try on sexual reproduction of corals. One 800 L tank for the corals and a 800 L tank/sump for refugium, filters and rocks.

In his dreams - they are filled up with spawning corals - do not make him to wake up. If he notice that they are empty - he will triple up his pressure on me to get the equipment he needs ASAP. Let him be in the dreams for a fortnight or so :D

Every step in the right direction is great!! :D
Now we just need to figure out how to get the heavy glass tanks onto the stand..

Yes, @Lasse . Now you need to step up and show your skills setting up the Profilux computers. I want to control everything, including wind speed, wind direction, air pressure and the coffe machine.. ;)
