Happy new year!! Now we are into the year 2021 here in Sweden. I really hope 2021 will be a much happier year than 2020.
For us 2021 will be the start of the real building of the new aquariums. I hope we will be “done” with the new coral reef tank, the North Sea tank and the kelp tank by the end of this year. The opening date is not up to us in the Aquarium to decide, but we will push for filling the tanks as soon as possible. To be able to have mature tanks when we open to the public.
So I think we might have some good stuff coming up in 2021 in this thread :)

Hope everyone having a great New Years!

New pictures from the build site!

Here’s an overview.

The most exciting things for us right now is that some of the openings for the acrylic panels are being done. So here’s where the large window for the reef tank will be.

And this is for the curved panel for the kelp forest! :D

Wow, that puts it in perspective !

Very much looking forward to see how the kelp forest comes together as well. I'm curious to see how that all works and what lessons can apply to our tanks. I would love to be able to incorporate some "planted" macro algae into my system at some point.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Lots of work at the moment, but not so many news.

The temporary Aquarium is going very well. It's a challange to run an aquarium with just one staff member at the aquarium at the time(Covid..). But with a lot of communication and almost daily meetings on Teams, it goes great so far.
The rest of the time we preparing the setups for the new life support systems, aqua scapes, budgets, lights, exhibits, and so on. The acrylic panels will come in March hopefully, and the roof will be laid during that time too. Not that far now :)

Here's the overview picture again, with some more info!

Very nice David! Love the update, can't wait to see some acrylic :D. Also like that you will have smaller aquaria at display.
