I’ve been neglecting this thread for a little while cuz I’ve been buried in my new system build
Cycle was completed today and it’s ready for life!
These are Seapora 30g Breeder tanks 36”x18”x12”H with a Trigger 34 Emerald sump. I only had a small footprint to work with, in the laundry room, for this separate & isolated system. I also wanted to use the metal shelving so that I could stack tanks without all the excess wood for the stand. So the footprint for the whole setup is only 4’ x 18” but enables me 6’ x 17” worth of coral footprint! It worked out good and is clean and very accessible. I’m super happy with it!
The power center is connected to my main system in the adjacent room (my existing coral farm).
I am starting this system off with dry rock. However, a good friend was kind enough to give me a piece of live rock seeded with the genetically tested, pathogenic bacteria free, real reef rubble from Aquabiomics. He has a new build that used this “seeding” rock/sand to establish the system and he is over the moon about the health of the corals he has introduced. So I am hoping for the same outcome.
