I’ve been neglecting this thread for a little while cuz I’ve been buried in my new system build :hushed-face:
Cycle was completed today and it’s ready for life!

These are Seapora 30g Breeder tanks 36”x18”x12”H with a Trigger 34 Emerald sump. I only had a small footprint to work with, in the laundry room, for this separate & isolated system. I also wanted to use the metal shelving so that I could stack tanks without all the excess wood for the stand. So the footprint for the whole setup is only 4’ x 18” but enables me 6’ x 17” worth of coral footprint! It worked out good and is clean and very accessible. I’m super happy with it!

The power center is connected to my main system in the adjacent room (my existing coral farm).

I am starting this system off with dry rock. However, a good friend was kind enough to give me a piece of live rock seeded with the genetically tested, pathogenic bacteria free, real reef rubble from Aquabiomics. He has a new build that used this “seeding” rock/sand to establish the system and he is over the moon about the health of the corals he has introduced. So I am hoping for the same outcome.

RRC RAINBOW SPLICE UPDATE
Here’s a close up of the red streak intersection point. The 3 branches in the middle popped when I cut the original red streak frag off. All 3 branches had the red streak at first but I can only see the red on this one branch now. I wonder if the “shading” had something to do with the red disappearing in the other 2. Very mysterious coral for sure. I hope to have it’s growth understood better in the coming months.

Some of the red streak is still there on one of the other 2. If you look closely in the centre some of the red streak shows.

I’ll pull the colony and take another look. I think there is some red tinting to the coralites but not the full on red streak....but I’ll look again ;)

Finally got a more accurate depiction of this beauty. The old growth is your standard green/brown colored base but when branches shoot, it’s literally a completely different, and captivating coral. I’ll be offering frags of this one very soon ;)

A good friend of mine found an epic deal on these twin towers. I am so glad to have these growing extremely well in my system again! It’s been a long long time....

Oh yeaaa the RR Olympus was one of my favorites to grow out and definitely hard to truly show off in photos. Fun fact, I purchased the original piece from TGC years ago when it was imported! So cool to see it again in different systems years later.

Yes! The bluish tips are very difficult to get the white balance right on. This shot is pretty close to what the eye sees.

I didn’t realize this was an OG piece!

For @Charlie’s Frags viewing pleasure :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Jumanji. He has gained his skin health back and I recently had to upgrade his plug as he had over grown the 1 incher. Im confident he will continue to recover and will hopefully shoot a new branch before long so I know he’s fully recovered. This is a game of patience, let me tell you.

And here’s one I recently acquired. Still a ways to get it colored up after shipping/dipping but he’s lookin real good so far!

They’re looking great. You’re getting faster growth than I am with mine. Put me on the waiting list for the Lego land. We can trade when my Gnomeo is ready……sometime in 2025
