Hello Reefers,

To cut my story as short as possible, I went to a friends house today and he was using some pretty amazing lights that now I want on my 20 gallon Nuvo. His tank was 120 gallons so obviously not that specific fixture but he shared he is using ATI T5 lighting with four 24 inch reefbrite lights.

He has it mounted from his ceiling but I wanted to get everyone’s thoughts regarding this subject. Since I don’t want to hang from the ceiling, that I keep my ai prime HD on whites, buy the a T5 fixture along with purchasing the ATI bulb and lastly add a 24 inch reefbrite and wrap it all together.

Is this the route to go? I took some pics of his tank with the T5 on along with the reefbrite and one without the t5 on and the reefbrite on.

please help me accomplish this goal and thoughts would be really helpful.

There are a few folks running T5 on Nuvo 20 as either supplements to their led or standalone. Here are a few pics I saved for ideas from my research. I ended up buying a retrofit kit with 2 bulbs which I plan to mounted on a floating canopy but that was put on pause as I'm looking to move soon.
