I just switxhed back to HW salt after using Fritz for over a year. I had no real problems with Fritz and it always mixed fast and clean with parameters I look for in a salt. I was however having some issues with dinos, sps dieing and chronic low iodine. I was just happier with HW salt and my reefs always looked great when using their salt mixes.

Have used rc for years it leaves a brown resido on all my Rubbermaid containers. Have changed salt brand to Kent not sure about the brand you are talking about . I think the resido is clay
I’ve been using fritz for 2 years and never experienced brown residue but I also rise all my brute pails after every water change and wipe them dry

Yes I think after I run through this bucket I'm back to HW or Redsea Blue

Does anyone know what the current 200lb box of Fritz RPM mixes at?
Alk is my main concern.
My LFS ordered it for me by mistake. I needed the Red Sea Blue 200 lb box. Anyway I purchased it on good faith. A good LFS is hard to find.......

My last 2 boxes mixed at 8-9 dkh with Hanna checker. Cal at about 420-440. Fritz is cleaner than Red Sea IME.

I have been using fritz for almost 3 years now, no complaints on my end. At 1.026 it shows 8.5-9 dkh, 420-460 calcium. Last box I bought is single bag but have used the 4 bag version too.

Man i have only ever gotten the 1 bag version. I guess there is a bucket version too. I like getting a free bucket once in awhile, needing some new ones. HW Marine Mix used to come in an odd oval shaped bucket.

Hi TwistedFinn967, you are right and I must apologize. I had a crazy November and a new addition to the family in December and failed to give you good customer service. Unacceptable in my book. I am happy to send you a free box of RPM for your trouble and also take care of your initial question. What is your email or please just email me at [email protected]. Again, Sincerest apologies. Good news is we just hired two new people that will definitely help us take care of our customers into the future. We really were getting behind due to our growth.
Still the manager?

I swear by it now and even got flamed for supporting it when I posted about it . LOL and I am like the only guy not trying to sell ish or anything on here just a lifelong enthusiast
Me too I mentioned it and some people got all over me for using it told me to go get an ICPS test because all the minerals and counts are way off.

Bringing up an old thread but after switching from black trash cans to white 55gal drums for my mixing I found this after my first batch of Fritz red box settled.
Rodi vs salt barrel

went back to my old trash can mixing station and it’s pretty clean. Don’t know why I got such a dirty batch of salt

Yea, mine has been mixing extremely dirty and cloudy lately as well!
