There is a cold front here in Texas. I also choose for the clams to be deliver on 12/30/22. I hope holiday shipping won’t doom my clams this time.
I had colored Teardrops back in 2000, in the initial group of clams from Việt Nam, which was poorly collected, and lost him after several weeks. They become too expensive for my wife’s taste after that.
I am really looking forward to get these two clams. I hope I will be able to keep them adapted to captive life well and for a long time.

I just checked out the website and I’m convinced that most of those maximas are indeed noae, most have teardrops and some look to have the “bumps“ as well. Plus, the shape really screams noae on a lot of them, but would love to see a side view. But being that they are wild collected may have something to do with the shell shape.

My guess is west coast T. noae. Great find! The first one looks a “Ningaloo” I had some years ago. Really nice!

I hope shipping goes ok. Good luck with them!

DO some of these clams still on the site appear to have PM? Might need to rescue one :)

Looking forward to seeing them!
I have not ordered any yet. My angelfish in the display pick at them too much. Will be setting up another tank for clams soon though.

Mark,
I was looking at this via my cell phone and though that Scott who is @outerbank
here on R2R posted the question instead of you. Scott ordered one also so that was why I asked. Sorry for my mistake.
IMO Overboard and Outerbank is kinda similar at a quick glance on a small screen.

Those are gorgeous. Can you PM me which ones on their site are similar? I might make an order.

A fish store near Sacramento had a T. Noae for sale for $230. It was labeled as Noae as well. As somewhat of a beginner-intermediate clam keeper I think the distinct characteristic of Noae is tear drops, right?
The Noae at the fish store had a significant amount of tear drops. The ones from corals.com have some but not as much as what I saw in person a few weeks ago.
