Marineland blue led accents are cheap and look great with t5. They look great as night lights as well. I've got 3 on a 6ft tank and love them. $35 each.

The inexpensive grow lights like Hydrofarm are only available up to 48". If you want a 60" fixture, you be spending about $700 for an ATI or other aquarium fixture.

I have an ATI 48” 6 bulb over my 525xl. I have never checked the par numbers, but my corals seem to be responding well to the fixture. I have been thinking about changing to LEDs, but the only reason for that is due to the tank being on the second floor of the house, and the light warms up the room quite a bit.

If you have any time please let me know the par values :) also how high above the tank is the fixture?

Right now I’m about 6-7 inches above the water.

I don’t have a PAR meter, but when I was looking at getting this fixture I scoured the Internet for par readings. If you google “ati 6 bulb par readings” you should be able to find some good information.

Never considered the aquatic life hybrid fixture? I hear it’s the best of both worlds. I’m considering that route. New fixtures for 36” are just $100 more lol I’m acting like I work for them.

One thing to consider when purchasing a 4 foot AND a 2 foot fixture, is you now have to buy double the number of bulbs. An 24” bulbs arent half the price of 48” bulbs. Cost difference between a 24” and a 60” ati blue+ is $5. I’d personally get a 60” 6 bulb ati sunpower in your case, and just mount in closer to the water to reduce light spill. Litetally any combination of ati blue+ and ati coral+ Will work.
