I'm running 4 t5 blue plus , 2 orphek or3 blue plus bars, and 3 red sea LEDs. The red sea leds provide all of the white light and I run the tank fairly white compared to most reefers these days.

My question is, if I run 3 blue plus and a purple plus, will it help bring out better colors in my acros?

Yes! I haven't run t5s in a long time but I do remember the purple plus being a big improvement.

But I'm surprised you can't get the colors you want out of the led bars...

I'm not trying to show colors with florescent pop, I want to bring out as much coloration as possible in the acros. (Hope that makes sense) - I want them to show better colors in white light.
