Basically, 20 gallons. I has a A360X kessil. But had a lot of shadows. So I figure t5 would be nice as blanket light, so I get 2x 24" 24w t5s.

But when I turned them on, holy **** man, it was bright af. I couldn't even tell the kessil was on anymore.

Shimmer, nearly non existent.

Shadows, non existent.

I figured I burned my corals or bleached them going from 50% to 80% on the kessil, but with how bright the t5s are I'm not so sure anymore.

I turn the kessil off and hardly notice a difference. So this begs the question

Do I turn up the brightness on the kessil, leave it be as the corals get used to t5s, or just remove and sell the kessil?

Thx for your Input in advance.

acclimate the corals to the new lighting. you don’t want to bleach them to death
How do I do that with t5s? It's a on off deal, should I turn off the kessil while acclimating to t5s?

Should I only run the t5s an hour or so and slowly add time?

you could raise the level of the t5s and lower them as the days/weeks go by. my assumption is that you have them on a fixture that could be raised or lowered

Not really I made a diy stand out of pvc and there's no more pipe left
