Are you buying the tank and stand as a kit or something? Not a fan of reef ready tanks. Would rather have a ghost overflow. The stand is junk (I think you know that). I’ve seen those stands at Petco they are stapled together. Would have to be really cheap / good deal.

Those tanks have been around for a long time. Most of them are solid. I'd personally pass though. The two overflows create a great space for detritus to build up that would be almost impossible to get to. Tuning them is also a bit more complicated from what I've heard.

Don’t the come with one 3/4 inch hole and a 1 inch on each side right? It can be turned into a Herbie overflow but I don’t care for using the 3/4 inch holes.

I faced a similar dilemma. Couldn’t bring myself to drill a big, expensive aquarium. Only regret is limitation to Durso overflows.
Detritus can be dealt with by good flow, good aquascape, and a capable CUC.

It is not a crazy dream to build a fishroom out in your basement. I did it last year and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Went faster too. And I am so glad I did!!

I set up a RR tank 9Oceanic 135g ) with no issues and not my first RR tank. This will be just fine. Assure the stand is stable and if not, brace it with 2" X 4" if needs be.

Highly recommend SC Aquariums. Just set up their 150g three months ago. Beautiful eurobrace tanks down near the price range you’re looking. Mine was delivered within 5 days of ordering, so it’s not long lead time either

Tank can be bought separate

Educate me!!!what’s the benefits of a ghost overflow?

im in the trades so building a new stand and canopy is definitely a must for piece of mind lol

One of my concerns was the second overflow I was curious on how to run the return line and Ide also like a emergency overflow much like the Red Sea reefers setup

Building isn’t a issue Im more concerned on the ability to pump back to the tank 8-10 feet effectively

Meh, it doesn't look on sale so I would pass. If they have a nice black Friday sale on it, then consider it.

My pump pumps water that far easy with no issues. Current eFlux DC Flow Pump. I was concerned at first as well cause the original sump sat under the tank and only had to pump water up four feet. Now it goes 10 feet to the display no problem. My tank is 120 gallons as well and there are two pipes feeding sump from the DT.

I also have a separate thread about my fishroom build.

If that will help
