Check out this amazing bivalve harvested from the million pounds on Monday!
Anyone have an id?
@ISpeakForTheSeas
Looks like a Chama sp. (Jewelbox Clam) - probably either C. brassica, C. macerophylla, or C. pellucida. Out of the three, my guess would be the Leafy Jewelbox Clam, C. macerophylla, though I can't say for certain.

Folks, we are still 2 harvests behind schedule due to waves and poor visibility in strong currents. Orders are fulfilled as soon as possible.
As of today, booking air cargo for December 8th.

Howdy @liverock ! Happy Thanksgiving to you.

We didn't see this gem until unloading...visibility was 6" that day.

Yep! Chama sp. difficult to determine from there.
Jocelyn says she has seen a few hidden deep with heavy macro on the vintage rock. They sure are bright and spectacular shell form.

I have a question for you guys, I live in the Tampa area and I am starting up a 300 gallon tank and when it comes to my rock I like to hand pick them and wanted to know if I would be able to come and pick my rock for you guys?

Congrats on the new project!
We are set up as an online store. With only 2 folks doing the harvesting, packing & shipping, there isn't time for customer visits to pick rock. As well, inventory moves out very quickly, most rock is sold before it reaches the Icehouse holding system.
Jocelyn is diving for each customer, if you have a specific request (size, shape, hitchhikers) they do their best to accommodate.
Email us if you want to discuss further.

Do you know what the red orange stuff is on the lower rock in the photo? Type of sponge?
@Tonycass12 This sponge has a unique pattern, and we see it often.
Jocelyn has done quite a bit of digging to identify it with no luck. Sent photos to a couple experts, so let's see.

Please DM us or email us if you have insight on it.
