We have some exciting news to share!!! WoooHooo!

AquaBiomics tankDNA results are in and they were followed up by a personal email from Dr. Eli,
"The sample had DNA from a wide range of eukaryotic organisms, a community that looks similar to a reef tank community with a few differences. your list includes DNA from fish, corals, tunicates, bivalves, sponges, coralline algae, sea urchins, snails, sea cucumber, crabs, copepods, brittle stars, worms, and macro algae.
Even though the sample gives us lots of data on the communities that include parasites (ciliates, dinos, amoeba, etc) none of the types we found in your sample are known parasites.
The lack of parasites in this sample is a nice result. I find one or more of the ciliates associated with Uronema in a lot of live rock so I'm always happy to find a clean rock tank. From the perspective of someone who tests and sells live rock as part of our business, this is a report I'd be happy with overall. Lots of desirable or at least typical parts of the reef community are present, and none of the parasites were detected."

0 Parasites (Dinoflagellate responsible for Velvet, Ciliate responsible for Ich, Ciliate responsible for Brook, Ciliate responsible for Uronema, Monitpora eating Nudibranchs, Acropora eating flatworms, all 3 types of Gill Flukes Flatworms, Pyramidellidae snails, Apicomplexan parasite of claims/bivalves, Trichodina protozoan.)

What about vermetids and aiptasia?
I saw no vermetids on my 80lbs. I have about 3-4 anemones which I am keeping an eye on but I have not seen any new ones pop up in 2 months. I do have two peppermint shrimp in there just in case.

Rubble Rock adds beneficial microorganisms to new, young and mature tanks!

Great for tight sump chambers, overflows, AIO media chambers and Pico systems.

Order-
I will be receiving my pico package of rubble rock soon to add to my sump and help my new tank cycle! Very excited! It also included sand that I will sprinkle over my Ocean Direct sand; that way I get all the benefits and a diverse looking sand bed. I’m not that smart in coming up with this idea; I’m copying the BRS 52 Week tanks style ;)
