Gonna just start a bigger thread of all the things I’ve found/need IDs for from my recent order of @LiverockRocks winter edition rocks. Might do another post showing off the spring/summer variety when I get that ordered.

Let’s start here (I’ll add confirmed IDs under the pictures when I get them)

Baby gorilla crab (BAD)

The hidden cup corals I got as hitchhikers from them have done well over the last year or so. But, they are non-photosynthetic, so need to be fed. I spot feed them with Reef-Roids once a week.

I also got a half dozen brittle stars from their rock. I didn't even know they were there for six months because they had been tiny when I got them. They are quite a bit larger now than in this old photo.

Loooove my hidden cup coral. It also looks like I might have 2 more species of coral that I’ll try to get pics of tonight

  • small brown coral appears to be an oculina robusta
  • unknown nem
  • lancelets are great indicators of healthy sand
  • calico clam looks to be running for its life from the lightning whelk!

The rocks are awesome and full of life. I got some of their rubble rock for my sump and it came with a couple of different crabs including a baby gorilla crab. I let them all stay in my sump.

Rocks look great. Just for my own education, if that rock is coming from the sea, how do you ensure it doesn’t have disease such as ich/velvet that can be passed on to the fish? Thanks.

There have been many threads on here and TBS has provided its own date showing all the negative tests of parasites and diseases from rock and sand collected countless times. Also TBS has been around for 40 years and I personally haven’t heard of anyone getting or testing their product and finding any diseases or parasites

I've been waiting for their Box of Rox - 15 pounds nano Premium Live Rock to return in stock... I want these for my sump/refugium.

@LiverockRocks , any idea when these will be available? :)

Don’t pump premium rocks in your sump, there’s so much life that deserves to be in a display. If you want it for your sump just get the base rock

I should have explained... My sump is like my second display tank. I love watching it come alive at night when the refugium lights kick on. (Pardon the messy picture, I'm literally laying in the floor watching my sump as I type this)

Neato. Same boat, it's my living room night light when DT is dark. Good time to stretch the back too haha
