Just like grand dad in rubber boots? or is that fashionable now?
I'm sure it's fashionable. Greta is a fashionista and wouldn't dream of wearing something without a designer name on it. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Have any of the fish spawning in your tank ever successfully produced babies that've made it to adulthood? Or do the fry get eaten too quickly?

The fry get eaten unless I collect them and that hasn't happened in many years. I don't have the time, patience or space any more but if I shut off the pumps, I can usually find tiny fry at the surface.
Healthy, un medicated fish spawn constantly as my clown gobies, mandarins, Ruby Red dragonettes, Mandarins, Fireclowns and blue stripe pipefish do

These guys will spawn next.

Hi Paul,
Greetings from Canada! I’ve been following your thread for a while now, since I started a SW tank for my puffers in 2016.
I do a few things differently from most in the hobby, and usually I don’t talk about it because it’s tiring to defend myself.
First, I use tap water (+Prime). We have probably the best water in the world here in Vancouver BC, and I just don’t think I need to run RODI when the water reads about 7 TDS straight out of the tap.
I use Instant Ocean -the cheapest salt.
Also, I have never quarantined. I feed like you do, as we also enjoy a wild variety of seafood here. So my fish eat better than I do
I’ve never lost a fish to disease and yes, the tap water is fine for SPS.
I got into the hobby a little late so I won’t see my tank’s 50th birthday, but I hope I’ll enjoy this hobby for as long as I can. Thanks for all the info you post on here!

(Puff Diddy says hello)
How big are your gsps? I know they can get up to six inches but I've seen posts about them stopping growing in full marine. Just wondering because I'm about to transfer mine to full marine but I want him to get a bit bigger.

GSPs can cover your tank and a few times they covered mine. Then for some reason they die. Then in a year or two, they come back. I don't know why.

I just got some bad news. A good friend of mine for about 60 years has Pancreatic Cancer. She was one of the 14 girls that took me out to dinner when I got drafted. I know her much longer than I know my wife. She is a part of our crowd.

We are all getting old and in the last 3 years we lost 4 close friends.

This Friday is our 50th wedding anniversary. A few months ago we took the family to Bermuda on a cruise and I thought on the actual day we would have a peaceful day. Nope. We have to go to a Sweet 16 party on Jones Beach here on Long Island which is probably one of the biggest beaches in the world but of course the party is inside a place on the beach. It ends at midnight.

At 16 I don't think I even knew what midnight was. The place is an hour and a half from here and my Kids and Grand Kids are coming over after the party to spend the night.

I have to throw them out the next day because I have plans and am taking my wife out along with 3 other couples but she doesn't know about all that. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

This is her when I married her when she was 18
