I sent an email last night but I wanted to hear from someone else's experiences because I don't want to wait if I have to deal with UPS direct. Box was damaged (corners dented, giant hole in side, tank was completely shattered. Even the return was knocked off. Do I go through Marine Depot or UPS? Thanks!!

Contact UPS and start the process. In the mean time contact Marine Depot and let them know the situation. This will speed up the process.
Sorry this happend to you.

The funniest part was I opened it and saw glass scratching the back wall and I'm like ah man there is some glass top scratching it! Then I'm like oh wait that is the side of the tank.. . Bigger problems

Just got confirmation from md. Wow top notch service. I can't express into words how you should only shop there for marine related goods

aw man that sucks, youll get a new one just sucks waiting

The only reason I'm not crying is because I bought a house and settlement isn't until January 8th anyway. So it would just be sitting in its box anyway. New hydra comes today as well fingers crossed it's in one piece ^_^

Sorry to hear about the damage, but it is great to hear that MD is taking care of it for you.

IMO, This speaks volumes about the company.

There's no way in he$$ that I would order a glass tank (or glass anything) during Christmas time via UPS-ugh! I use to be a loader for UPS & know how that goes. Every step is timed. It's amazing anything makes it in one piece ;)
Hope your second tank makes it unharmed! Kudos for MD!

We were extremely disheartened to learn your tank was damaged during shipment, but are certainly relieved we were able to work with you and the shipping courier toward a suitable resolution. Congrats on your new home, btw. What are your plans for the tank beyond the AI Hydra?

This is a bad time of year to order a tank to be shipped with all the extra christmas packages.
