During our move, the tank got slightly damaged on the front glass panel. We were trying to be very careful but made a serious mistake. We had the tank standing on its side and leaned it back so a dolly could fit underneath. That caused the corner crunched and splinters a little bit. (we should have not placed it down in the u-haul like that).
I can predict the answers from everyone here. :) But I would like to save this tank if possible. If the tank cant be salvaged for fish, maybe it could be used for something else like reptiles? How much could I sell this for?

Thanks!
Eddie K

Any crack to the glass like that especially the corner almost compromises the integrity of the tank. You could try and see how things go by filling it in the garage and take a look at the corner and see how it holds. If it were me it would have to be sold.

I went through something similar when setting up my SCA120. It was gut wrenching. That cut on the bottom looks like it goes to the silicone which is what would really concern me.

you could maybe get $100 from a reptile person if you were lucky..... but theres no way that can be used for fish again unfortunately

I put it up on Facebook market place for $300 and a few people want to buy it. That makes me feel better. I guess I'll order a new SCA soon.
Thx everyone!
Great to hear! No way we would let you get out of the hobby that easily. :) I am just happy to hear you are continuing and good luck!
