I’ve been trying to add some cool decor to my 60 gallon because it looks so plain . It is a freshwater tank so I was thinking about wood and other things , but everything is so expensive. Where should I look? What do you guys recommend?

Have you checked out your local craiglist or second hand sites yet? I often see great deals on freshwater supplies there including great prices on driftwood and freshwater plants.

Things like lava rock and spider wood aren't too expensive and look great

I bought all of my freshwater planted tank stuff online....lots of different WYSIWYG pieces of different types of hardwoods for sale and various sites.
