Tank dying?

Not sure what's going on with the tank but I have my sand bed turning brown. I think it's killing my tank. Help me please!!

Looks like it could be cyanobacteria and or diatoms. Tank looks fairly new?
Neither should be so severe that it would kill the tank. I would start with routine water changes, nutrient reduction, use only RODI water, get base line values for phosphates and nitrates. Does the tank have enough flow?
