Hey everyone! I’ve got some exciting news! I recently got a new tank, and it’s a Redsea 250. I used to have a 15g tank, and my friend generously gave me about 30g to start this new one. However, I noticed that my corals turned pale. I’m thinking it might be because of the stress they’re under, but I’m hoping they’ll recover in a couple of months. Some of the specific corals that are affected are my (Montipora) and Acropora. Some of them are stn. I do have some phols xtra special that i could use but I don’t know if it would help. Any tips or advice you can share would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck with the upgrade and it’s exciting to have more space for corals. Keep the parameters stable and if current flows and lighting is good then the ecosystem will thrive.

I take it you have mostly new water, what was your phosphate and nitrates levels in the old tank compared to the new tank. You may have bottomed the nutrients out.

Looks like a new system.
New systems hard on SPS.
Very blue, a bit hard to see anything in detail.

I checked nitrates and phosphates yesterday. Nitrates were at 13.5 and phosphates 0.15

it was a tank transfer. used 30g from a friend and 15g from my tank. I had to make about 16 gallons of new saltwater.
