Looks like they used a blank wall plate and drilled it for a bulkhead fitting.

Pretty sure like @Redleg alluded to, just a blank beauty plate and bulkhead fitting. Couple bucks and 5 minutes later you are in business.

Fair enough. I'll probably end up making some eventually. Last one I did I used an ice maker hookup box. Still have a few places these would be nice. But if they sold them I'd buy them instead of making them. I'd wager they could get something that looked nicer than diy multiple pieces as a reseller but maybe not

I have a question about the Gyre flow pattern in this video

I see you have it setup in your Apex I have 2 - 250s and would like to do the same
Can you please give more detailed instructions or screen shots to how you set it up I have 2 Ice Caps can you just use one with the stock Y cable that it came with? and then plug that Y cable into both ICE CAPs? so the programming can control it.

Just need a wee bit more detail but simple instructions to do what you did..

Thanks from Winterpeg

Hey there,

You'll a variable speed cable for each IceCap to connect into the VDM ports on the Apex. One will go into VDM 1&2 the other in 3&4. From there it's just a matter of programming, which you can download the BRS160 Gyre Schemes within Neptune Fusion.

Schemes to search in Fusion:
BRS160_LEFT_GYRE
BRS160_RIGHT_GYRE

Is the variable speed cable the STOCK one what came with them (i bought the one that can go in reverse) as well. Coral Vue said I can use one cable for both units?

As Carlos told me about how BRS set this up.. hens the asking..

So can i do it this way

1 plug Y plug it i to the VDM 1 & 2 then plug the other 2 ends in both ICE CAPS?

Also how do you get the RS160 Gyre Schemes within Neptune Fusion
- I cant figure how get it to load as my MaxSpect Gyre
- I click my GEAR to see it but can't find the load Schemes button???

Glad you got it working! You don't necessarily have to use the same intensity settings from our scheme and actually I wouldn't advise matching ours specifically, since it was designed for the dimensions and coral in the BRS160 (not so much every tank size and type out there). 100% in that very specific tank with the coral placement and aquascape doesn't negatively effect our corals, so it's best if you alter it to fit your unique tank's needs.

I think you should QT all corals for the next series. Dunno... Or even do three tanks with the exact same setups and same corals and see what happens.
