Hi

Just got a new tank and need to pipe it to sump…. Bit confused with the bulk heads… which way round they are ment to be…. Been told white washer wet side, but this would mean the threaded part going into the weir which means slightly harder and need 2 people to plumb it as oppose to holding it and tightening sump side…

Any advice would be appreciated

The white o-ring goes on the treaded part. Then that goes into the weir and you screw from the bottom with the female side (it should have an o ring of some sort in there too.

Ye so under the white one there’s the black washer that’s o ring material…. So your saying the white on the dry side, push thread through then black washer/oring and locking nut as such?

I have a large o ring washer on the weir side and then the sump side has a much smaller inset o ring in the thread part. (Not exactly sure where the hard white washer would go)

You def still want the male part going through the weir. I’d assume you want the flexible o ring washer also on the male in the weir. The question is where the hard washer goes.
Any reason why the male goes into the weir just I understand
