How come every couple weeks it seems my return chamber runs dry and the return pump starts spitting micro bubbles.. ato has water, skimmer hasn't pulled much lately yet it seems like water disappears and when I try to rebalance the intake extake the drain pipe runs nearly dry sparking an annoying drain noise. It acts like there isn't enough water or something idk.. just me?

Unless there is a leak somewhere it sounds like your ATO has an issue or is unable to keep up with evaporation rates. Other than that is it possible your main drain is getting blocked by a snails or something similar? Maybe open it up fully and close it fully a few times to give it a clean. Definitely need to check your salinity ASAP.

Yea I believe it's a float valve not behaving. Salinity being too high could explain a couple things. Knew rodi lasting this long was weird
If you have the stock ATO with redsea then yes the little float has to be taken apart and cleaned about once a month or so to ensure function.
