What issues (if any) will occur if TDO pellets aren't refrigerated and placed in an auto feeder? Thx.

We have a number of customers that refill their auto-feeder once a week. Refrigeration simply ensures that the entire package of food will last for 1 year. The amount you use for the auto feeder will be fine for a week.

If you have the time, please send us a video of the TDO being fed out by the auto feeder! We would love to see it and so would everyone else.

    Hope this helps.

Chad, how many clones of you are there? You answer questions in mere minutes on multiple boards, post copepod love on Facebook and appear at area stores. And thanks for all of it!

Btw -- which size TDO is closest in size to the Neptune pellets for their feeders?

The Crossover Diet is a special formula and is proprietary. We helped them design it. I apologize for not being able to elaborate.

TDO Small (C2) is the best size for most fish and corals. Some people will add TDO B2 to the TDO Small (C2) to get a mix of granule sizes. It will take some experimentation.

Should I put TDO in fridge? Currently I put the original bag inside my little cave room (under the stairs). I did use the auto feeder for mix of TDO and Elos pellet.

Refrigeration is the best way to keep it. We prefer you keep it cold to prevent degradation of the food. We take ingredient protection seriously, so that's why we put the food in mylar packaging to prevent gas exchange and we also put oxygen and moisture absorbers in to prevent oxidation of lipids, etc. If you notice on the package where is says "Storage" at the bottom, you will see that it says "Store refrigerated (41F (5C) or below) for longest shelf life".

I hope this information is useful!

    Thanks for asking!

Ok. Will do to fridge them. By the way, all my fish went nuts for TDO. Anthias, blenny, clown, Wrasse, tangs you name it.

Send me a feeding video if you ever have the time! Thanks for the positive feedback.
