I believe the Adaptive Reef Controller boards would be your model for the above request.

Love what you are doing here! Aluminum stands are the only way to go! I’ve been building my own from aluminum for years… just finished one up for my 60gal cube.. fully aluminum with high gloss white and polished. Obviously the normal diy person doesn’t have a aluminum welder so that makes yours that much cooler! Built mine to match my bar.

Agreed with down to earth pricing on controller boards, also a lot of the mesh lids on the innovative marine tanks (the big ones with internal coast to coast overflows ) have a gap where a fish could still hop into the back overflow . Is there a cover you could make for that section ? Im not sure why there wouldnt be as these people must have never owned a wrasse ever

The lids we have are selling well. I have posted several times on this topic. It's about the sizing. We don't have accurate specs on other mfg. tanks. I think we are going to have a generic image with dimensions we need called out on it and have hobbyists interested submit a build form with copious photos. The first one takes a lot of time. The second one is superfast. For example, take at the lid below. It is for a deep blue aquarium. Not sure of the model. Cost is about $100 bucks and it is big lid. It was released to production yesterday morning around 10 AM. It was ready to ship at 10:30 AM. We can do this for almost all the tanks out there and at about 60 to 80% less than other meshed options. For rimless tanks, we are considering using aquarium clips so the lid sits inside the tank, just below the top edge. Thoughts?

There are several different options to secure lids to the top of tanks, some use the aforementioned aquarium clips, like IM, others build tabs into the lid itself, like Clearview. My favorite design, however, is Kraken Reef's. Instead of a tab sticking out on each side, they have a little lip around the entire edge of the lid that sits on top edge of rimless tanks that provides superior support comparably.

The cheapest option is probably clips. The cleanest look is Kraken Reef's design, imo.

if you could make the lid border slightly thicker than the rest of the lid and have the sizing sit flush with rimless tanks, I think that would look best. But I think that would require casting from the different sizes. I only have nanos, but I can see why people prefer clips on larger tanks

I also have a Kraken Reef lid and I like the lip a lot but it is a really thick lid to have room to mount the mesh. These are thinner non-mesh lids. For rimmed tanks, no problem they can just sit on the rim but with a rimless tank I think clear tank-mount tabs for it to sit on are just fine.

any update on the skins for the Magnum stands?
Yes. They are available in white and black for now. We are calling them CorBond. They are a three layer composite. High pressure resin core with aluminum outer layers. They are attached to the open frame by magnets. All the panels are completely removable. The stands themselves now feature a vertical electronics mounting and best of all, many of them have had price reductions. The skins will range from $80 to $350 additional but with the price adjustments ending up pretty much only about $150 more on most 48 inch. Less on the smaller, more on the larger. I will post some prototype pics in a bit.

The panel brand is on the protective film. Notice this stand has upgraded starboard deck and shelf panels. Standard is PVC. Again, these are prototype pics. We are shipping final versions but ask you to contact customer service for assistance as the final details are still being worked out. They look really good Btw.

We are working on updating our website as well. For example, there are around 28 standard freshwater tanks. This is going to be reduced to around five listings. Each of the five will be a configuration. Like what the car companies do. Here is an example but without the image updates. We also are introducing external overflow aquariums. Similar to these but around 30 to 40 percent less and with the aluminum skins.

That unit already shipped. What we did is essentialy a wall between the sump area and the control board area. We also put in a recessed power strip. The wall also has various cutouts and slots for cords and such. The next thing we are considering is incorporating something like this at minimal charge.
