So, the other option would be a nano Skimmer. If you had to choose, which one? Ato or skimner?

That's a tough choice... I love the idea of a skimmer. As this is my first frag tank, I don't know how necessary a skimmer is... If it is necessary then I'd go for that.

Because of everyone's inputs, this design is going to be part of an entire portfolio of small DIY tanks. The sump pedestal is turning out to be a great design platform. Next up is the drop off. Then I am looking at something a little bit bigger. Maybe a 20 Gallon. Or something like what's below. The aqua dome is a crowd pleaser. So are the others. Did this many years ago as a corner Pentagon. All of the ones here will be DIY

You just gave me an idea to be able to do both. Teaser: the Skimmer will be a simple tube style with air Stone. The ATO can also be a tube style if it is going to be a "hamster bottle" design with no pump.

Did I miss yhe Pico AIO opportunity?

There was no AIO, it was a pico with an overflow for a sump but ya that one is done.

Your tank should ship next week. Meanwhile, below are some in production pics of a Low Boy bare frag ordered last week. Notice the radius bent fronts and extra thick walls. Flawless seams. And they are not yet even polished.

Do you happen to know if it's still the case the tank will ship this week? There was an issue where they canceled our order and had us re-order because the shipping cost wasn't right originally? We're hoping there isn't any delay as we have frags arriving next week.

I picked one of these up for my 6.8g off Amazon , $18-$30. Small, compact, and has drain tube.
