Here's a shot of the tank with lights on. Still can't get it right after spending the whole afternoon reading the photography for dummies book. :(

The majority of tank threads I've followed have good pictures. I don't want to start one without decent pictures.

What type of camera are you using? Truthfully, I don't even try and take full tank shots because it is so difficult for me. I'm not a big photography person but if you post some information about your camera and the settings you are using there may be others here who can help.

I for one would still like to see a tank thread. Perhaps I'm just a sucker for them.

It's a Panasonic digital camera model DMC-FZ8, I just got it a few days ago. If someone would show me some simple, basic setup to take decent pictures, I might try to do a tank thread. I've been reading up on photography because I know nothing prior to buying this camera.

:hammer: Be like me, buy a nice camera, dont read the directions, then be mad about how crappy your pictures are! (still havent read directions!) I think its a man rule. And I will not break a man rule! (unless significant other says so)

  • Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)
