Oh wow. Really sorry to see that.
thanks.

Sorry about that and glad Redsea offered you
I am SO glad RS is standing behind there warranty. dont know what I would do if they did not as the tank is under 2 years old. hopefully the replacement last 10 years. IDK is that to much to ask for a glass box of water?

Wow!!! For a moment there I thought my iPad switched to HGTV .
Have we gotten to the reef to reef part yet . It 2:00 am I going to sleep :sleeping-face: lol!!
yes it was quite the undertaking for sure. way more work and money than we expected. but some times when you get into a reno that happens.

just wish the house was a bit bigger so I could have a man cave/fish room to tinker in.
might do that in the basement at some point. that that will be more work and more $$ for for now I will focus on the 2 tanks I have and be happy.

Being happy is what it’s all about . My rehab days are over . No patience. there is self satisfaction and you look like you’ve enjoyed the journey. Good luck on your tanks

My favorite part was how reasonable we're all being. whoooaaaa so much work!!! it's so satisfying but tiresome to have projects like this, good job!
yes so much work and $$
I should of made the floor support under the tank able to support a 300-400 gallon tank.

part of what i've done is stopped the "oh i should have" cycle. I ripped the bandaid off and just went straight to "probably this might be too much" and i can say, for sure, that I absolutely do not want to upgrade. If you DO upgrade, the cheapest way to do it, I've found, is just price out your all-in dream, and then you don't have to build a tank twice.

Ok up date time!

thought I might as well keep this thread going as it's been quite the journey...
so RS did replace the 650P was a pretty smooth process I got the newer G2 with seam guards and the floating glass lip.

the misses wanted to take a adult gap year/sabbatical as focus on her painting. so we where going to take a year off in Thailand one of my fav. places.

sadly both bathrooms tile job was done so badly they needed to be replaced can you believe it. so much $$ on the tile and could not even get over a year! :(

long story short as I thought we there going to thailand I had the new RS 650P up for sale. meet a tile guy so we traded the tank for tile job on 2 bathrooms. win win

we went to Thailand in Nov. my 5th time her 2nd but for some reason he was just not feeling it. and wanted to be home. SOOOOOO yeah sold the tank in hopes to live a year abroad only to be disappointed.

so around BF/CM I ordered the IM 200 peninsula and there new RFS 50 sump! 275 total volume.
really wanted to go bigger but not sure my floor support could handle it.

take should arrive sometime this week or next.

the journey continues...
now to see if I can change the title :thinking-face:

SO guys. I am 90% sure this build will be a FOWLR
I have a seahorse build going on too and have always wanted a butterfly dominate fish only, so here we are.

I love love and love wrasses however I am feeling this is the way for me right now. heck even thought about a heavily planted FW aquascape. but in the end I keep coming back to a FISH only for now.
of course i'll add a wrasse or two just because I can and should...lol

here is a possible fish list:

IM 200 peninsula stocking list

large angel
Regal angelfish- captive bread
Majestic Angelfish

Dwarf angels:
Flame
Coral Beauty
Bicolor
(all introduced at the same time )

1-2 smaller wrasses

Large tang:
Blue/regal Tang OR power blue

smaller tang
1 zerbasoma yellow, Kole or purple

Butterflies:
Copperband
Yellow Longnose
Pearlscale
Latticed
Saddleback?
Sunset
Raccoon

a big maybe but if I can find a marsh idol that is eating i would go for it.

Looking forward to seeing your new FOWLR come together!
I'd love to have one too filled with angels and butterflies and a few wrasses sprinkled in lol

for the dwarf angels I am not sure if I want the CB or the bi color?

the smaller wrasses I am thinking:
Melanurus Wrasse
McCosker's Flasher

I tell you it's hard not to fill this with wrasses!
but this is a angels and butterfly tank.

wish me luck!

well the tank was shipped out on the 3rd.
I was supposed to get a call to set up a delivery day.
of course they just tried to show up mid day with no one around. lame.
driver said they did not get the note that a delivery apt. was needed. SO someone along the chain dropped the ball.

and of course there terminal is about 2.5hrs away and they have no idea when then will be back. maybe next week or the week after.

kinda lame they cant set up a day so i can be here for it.
anyway just venting.

kinda want to order my rock for the tank. but been hesitant as it's a TON of $$$ 1.3K just for the scape I know crazy.
but wanted to make sure the tank arrives with no issues.
but on the other hand the sooner it gets here the sooner I can play around making the scape.

for the rock I my think 4 boxes of the tideline/corrnorstone rock
1 box of arches
1 box of premium
2 boxes of branch.
not cheap at all. but since this is going to be a FOWLR I am thinking it's like spending the cash up front for a nice look.
