I only have 3 fish and CUC, I was wondering if it would be okay to thaw and rinse a full package of mysis, and then refreshing it. It would save me having to wash my strainer every other day, and I could ensure everything is rinses to the same level... could that work?

No need to rinse your food. I think Randy in the chem forum did some research and the amount of nitrate or phosphate you are able to rinse off is negligible.
