Well I’ve had more time than ever “pandemic “ so I’ve been planning for a couple months and thinking the last year or so lol all about this build. The 225 will be coming down and be for sale soon . The plan was to put in wall as it is going in my den same wall as the garage . Possible fish room or access wall to back of tank and stand. Undecided and have a few weeks I think to make up my mind either way there will be a big hole in the wall. I currently have tons of equipment and electronics that need to make it to the garage.I will include pics of the current system and equipment where it sits. The new tank is 375 gallons and the goodies started to arrive yesterday and spent all morning building this!
Enough of the boring here’s some pics.

Cant wait to see the new tank. Mine, as I'm sure most peoples, dream is to have a big in wall build. My wife and I have a perfect spot for it, just don't know if we will ever have that much money for a project like that! So I get to live vicariously through people like you! Make sure to post tons of pics.

Well if you we’re close to California I’d make a killer deal on the 225 tank stand canopy and sump, only 2 years old. I know this isn’t dry goods for sale thread so will post there when it’s available! sorry
I was promised the tank and sump by next Friday so will definitely be posting more pics then and as equipment arrives!

Where did you end up getting the 80/20 pieces?
F&L Industrial solutions in Poway San Diego CA
They were great to deal with and listened to all my concerns weight , racking, ect
They even have a designer draw up jpg options available for you size and weight.
I chose to go over board for peace of mind twice what they were confident would support my tank.

80/20 - great job. Love the stuff. Nice updates. I have a similar size tank (210) that I've been considering upgrading. My better half was saying what would make it worth it and I said 375 - 400. That seems about the right size to upgrade to it seems.

Looks great. Keep up the great work!

Edit: Oh - have a great weekend!

Great looking stand, looks like it will hold a monster tank, can’t wait to see the finished project.
Are to planning to leave the stand open or close it in?

I’d like to expose the Horizontal Beams and vertical legs and place panels within them
Got my fittings and sweepS today

Can you use the 90-degree brackets like the ones on the upper frame, or do you have something else in mind to support the panels?
I would be very tempted to embed Neodymium magnets in the panels and use a steel angle as the catch plate. No hinges, nice clean look.

i was thinking along those lineS until I discovered a mounting system out of the UK called button fixes i had seen another build where someone used them to do panels as well

Well the tank and sump made it home it took two pickup trucks . I told my friend this was going to be heavy and while at the manufacturer he attempts to lift up one end and said we got this bro.
Lol it’s 700lbs. We got it to the house. And reinforcements were called my neighbors must of been shocked to see the policeman carrying a giant aquarium through the front and backyard lol I didn’t get any pics sorry but here’s some of the tank on the stand hard to get good pics as it’s in the middle of the room better pics to come
