I have an oase 75 ( 20 gallon ) and its proving to be not very saltwater friendly. I would like to have a mini refugium and maybe a sump. Is an all in one the best style in this situation?

I would say so, yeah. :D AIOs are cool in that it's still one tank, but with in-built chambers for you to do a lot of stuff.

I had to convert a 22 gallon freshwater drilled tank to a saltwater tank with a sump to get what you might be after. Most of the nano tanks I found were an AIO and you ended up having to “hang” things off the back to have a fuge or skimmer. It IS possible to have a nano with a sump though!

I don't find AIOs flexible at all. You are locked into their design, and mostly square formats. Square tanks are tricky for beginners.

Give me a 20L and HOB over flow anyday.

I would add a seachem tidal on mine but the way the lights are held, with a glass piece and with the water level being alot lower its not possible :(

I have a fifji cube peninsula nano AIO it sime no skimmer but does the job. with WC and cleaning it works. sumps are nice if you want more gear. WB makes some smaller sumped tanks like there 60.2 might be what your after.

also look at the fiji cube tanks too.
