Just dipped and placed the corals in the tank. Already seeing polyps extending. I can't believe these are considered brown. Sure, there is a decent amount of green, but also plenty of potential of other great colors.

More brownies going out today! All remaining orders are shipping this week. Make sure you post pics and share! There have been a few that didn't survive shipping or shortly thereafter, and I refunded those as promised. But there have also been many that are showing great PE and some colors. The ups and downs of the brownies!

That's a perfect little QT and acclimation setup. Keep that alk near 8-9 DKH and you should be golden.

Luckily my salt mixes up right in there, so my laziness can continue!

I like this Lagoon 25 so much I kind of wish it were a display!

The brownies have arrived, been dipped and are hanging out in the QT tank. I ordered 2x large, 7x medium and 2x small and to be honest I'm not 100% which are which as really they're all pretty big. None were DOA so that's a start. :)

    And...the pics:

Very nice! I was worried as it was almost 24 hours in the box! I also see some other nice frags in the background there. :D How are those all doing? I see a little bit of STN on two of the brownies but nothing to be concerned about just yet as it looks like it is in areas that were shaded.

Yeah took a little longer to arrive this time than previous coral orders had. I guess they had more deliveries today than usual. :D

The others are all doing well, a few broken/roughed up tips but I don't think anything to worry about. I can either trim them up or see if they'll just grow back over the damaged areas. I took some pics of those too but they're up on a rack and I'm having a hard time getting good pics. I'll pull out the good camera this weekend and see what I can do. These were just trusty iphone pics.

One brownie looks like it's had a fair bit of STN from the base up, but I don't think that was necessarily a new thing, and a few have a little damage here and there, but no need to panic yet by any means.

I had a set schedule on the AI Prime already from another tank that I don't feel like messing with, but it is fairly high powered, so I've physically cranked the light up as high as it will go for now.

My local LFS brought in several colonies recently that look exactly like these as far as size and mariculture goes. Of course, they're somewhat more colored than what we're getting but regardless, they carry a price tag of $150-$200 each, so even if you only get one good colony out of this...it's worth it in the end as far as economics go, IMO. On top of that, you get the satisfaction of success.

Something is not right, I'll work with you to see what might be done differently. Either way, you'll be refunded for those!

20180122_193202.jpg How is everyone's "Brownies" doing. This is the only one I have left but it is thriving and growing and really fuzzy not a whole lot of color but who knows it could just be an ugly duckling waiting to show its true potential......

i lost all my brownies. womp womp. my fault though, i moved them soon after they were in the tank in a breakdown and new setup...not a wise thing to do. but with that said, cant wait for the next brownie challenge!
