A lot of nations have Trade Treaties which recognize and honor each other's patents. The World Trade Organization is a perfect example of that. Members of the WTO agree to abide by specific treaty obligations and Patent holders in a specific WTO nation can block imports of products that infringe upon their patents. This happens a lot. Part of the problem is that nations sovereigns can chose to exempt specific violations. In the cause of the US that is the President. And the President does often choose to waive a domestic companies claim and allow the infringing product to be imported. This happens A LOT.WAIT, are you saying America's laws don't apply to the entire world?
Of course they are. They aren't exporting them to countries or regions covered by valid patents.
No it is not "a bit cheeky" it is actually really cut and dry. In fact, YOU as the purchaser are technically violating the patent rights of the patent holder by acting as your own importer, and if they are knowingly shipping here they are also violating the law... enforced or not. It's a bit cheeky, but they aren't importing it to the USA, the customer is having an item they purchased shipped to them.
That has been established. Now, Ecotech could probably stop that import if they had a way, or they could take action against Ali Express for inducing patent infringment in the USA,
Did somebody here indicate otherwise?but Jeboa can make a clone for sale in China, and sell it outside of the USA, Europe and Canada. Good luck enforcing a non-Chinese patent on a Chinese company in China.
You can message the seller and they will sell in smaller quantities. I know someone bought 2 and didn’t have to meet the 10 minimum. Just need to chat ahead of time with the seller
You can buy just 1 or 2 . They don't even have the inventory for a group buy.Group buy anyone???
Magnetic fields will pass through silicone. I don't know why you think it cannot?I don't see how suction cups can work for this design of pumps. As far as I knew this design transfers the power via magnetic and suction cups would interfere in that.
I'm sure the nem guards will be coming out for these as well. For anyone who has theirs in hand, is the wetside the same size as the Ecotech ones? I might have missed a side by side size comparison somewhere in the 39 pages. I've been thinking of getting one to try but I'd also want to be able to put on one of those nem guards that you can get off Amazon that are sized to the MP lines.
You won't know until someone actually does it . I thought the vortech has a sticky pad ?Have you ever aligned a Vortech? You have to twist and turn the wet side to get proper alignment. The suction cups are going to inhibit that and the magnetic feeling you get as you align them properly.
Wouldn’t that mean that they couldn’t fall off?You won't know until someone actually does it . I thought the vortech has a sticky pad ?
There is no need to be insulting. I simply pointed out that you appear to contradict your own logic a good bit and don’t appear to really know much about vortech pumps at all, even though you post all kinds of pros and cons vs the Chinese knock-offs that you don’t own yet either…. All while call people fanboys and telling them they are crying.Don't let these hurt your mental or physical health.
I have one in hand. It sticks to the glass with both suction cups and magnets. The “sticky pad” is a wire holder that you zip tie the dry side wire to. If (this really is a giant if) the dry side falls off, the wire holder will keep it from falling to the floor. This is simple common sense that it is a good idea to protect against such things.
You align the unit by moving the wet side around. Up, down, left, right, and even rotating it to find proper alignment. (I mean I’m preaching to the choir here since you already know all this but just in case for those not sure how they work.)
Suction cups are going to make that alignment difficult IMO. Of course, Jebao may not care about this alignment at all since the average Jebao customer seems to be content with “just throw it away and buy new” when they fail. So maybe alignment isn’t important to them and they just plan them to die quicker.
Can the wetside or dryside slide to fine tunes the coupling? Or have you discovered that proper alignment isn't a huge issue?I have one in hand. It sticks to the glass with both suction cups and magnets.
