If you guys have been following along on my instagram, reefanatic24_7 , you will have seen that the tank has some new inhabitants! I picked up a female electric blue damsel along with a turbo snail a week or two ago. The tank is looking VERY dirty as there has been a diatom and green film algae bloom. The water has also turned cloudy since around 3 days ago. Does this signify a bacteria bloom? I hope that's all it is. I'm not running any filtration yet just relying on sand and rock. I placed an order from Reefcleaners for a clean up crew and that should be arriving on Wednesday or Thursday. No signs of any other algae so I'm thinking that everything else will work out once the clean up crew gets to work. Wish me luck guys! Hopefully, I'll start the real stocking of this tank this month!

Also, I'm getting a bunch of bubbles... is that the algae producing oxygen? I'm pretty confident they're not dinos.

Alright guys, I got my first corals... Got some Rasta zoas another zoa, encrusting monti, gsp, and encrusting gorg. I'm gonna need some ID help lol. Also got a YWG

It's been a while since my last update, sorry guys. I find IG to be an easier platform overall which is why I've been posting more there. That aside, here are the things that have changed in the Evo:
1. Modded 1st chamber into refugium
2. Added Chalk Bass and Fire Shrimp to system
3. 2nd chamber holds a Green Killing Maching (UV) to battle dinos, it seems to be working well, haven't seen dinos in ages.
4. Added GSP and encrusting gorgonian, the GSP has finally started to encrust on the wall after about a month in the tank.
The tank is running quite well and I haven't done a water change in about a month (partly due to dinos, partly due to laziness lol) I feed an 8th of a cube of mysis mixed with capelin roe (the orange sushi stuff) and occasionally add Seachem flake food. The fish LOVE the capelin roe, even more than the frozen mysis it seems. Everything is running smoothly (for now). I'll try to update more often.

For the refugium, I'm using a Smiful submersible aquarium light I got for 10 bucks. It works really well, I've already harvested the chaeto a couple of times.
