Rakie, after following your build thread, curious what your issues with vibrant was( I either missed it, or have brain farted and can't remember)?

I've been using it to get rid of some nuisance algae, which it has worked on, but my some euphyllia, and blasto's do not look happy. I'm now wondering if it's the vibrant, because everything was happy before.

Whenever I used anything that killed algae I ended up with dinoflagellates. I lost a couple colonies and frags but nothing special.

Thanks for the reply! No dinos myself, just a lot of ugly cyano since starting vibrant.

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

SEND THEM TO MEEEEEEEEE [emoji14] Absolutely unreal man!!
That first one is shifting to yellow highlights and body is shifting from green to baby blue.

Second one is what an angry birds should look like, blue body and red polyps that are really intense red under blue only lighting.

The color contrast on that is insane. Nice piece.

Which of these wild corals do you guys think are deserving of a name?

1. Wild Gold/Green milli -- Kind of standard, except it's holding a nice rich gold color opposed to orange

11111IMG_0012 by T S, on Flickr

2. Yellow/Green/Red Polyp milli -- I'm just a sucker for anything yellow. This one is developing more and more colors as it grows but seems to hold yellow well

11111IMG_0013 by T S, on Flickr

3. Red with Red Polyps -- Looks like a mashup of a bunch of things. Almost looks like a PC Rainbow to some, but colors are different, much more pronounced yellow base
11111IMG_0018 by T S, on Flickr

4. Pink and Red milli with hints of blue -- Again, looks similar to a lot of things. This one may not be unique enough.
11111IMG_0019 by T S, on Flickr

5. Deep blue, purple tips, red polyps, metallic green sheen -- Extremely unique. WILL be named!
11111IMG_0020 by T S, on Flickr

6. Peach/Orange body, blue tips, green base -- Very unique, but this one will need to grow out more. Most likely worth a name to me :)
11111IMG_0021 by T S, on Flickr

7. Orange/Pink/Green Spathalata -- Extremely unique, will likely be named. It started growing and the shape is wonky right now
11111IMG_0034 by T S, on Flickr

8. Extremely shaggy blue/green tenuis -- The polyps are what make this one unique. Grows slow as molasses running up hill though. Very hard to get a good shot of it.
11111IMG_0036 by T S, on Flickr

9. Rakies Angry Birds 2 -- Lots of "Angry Birds" out there claim to look like this. This one actually does look like a real angry birds should. Blood red polyps, Blue body, plus yellow highlights for extra uniqueness.

I have a lot more I'm developing and need updated pictures of. It's a pain having updated and accurate pics, especially as corals change! Many of these are more colorful than they were, and in a few cases it's taken corals that were interesting into the uninteresting category. Such is the life of a coral hoarder!

I'm back. Catching up on your Thread. Will rewind...

But I know why I stayed away (not because I was busy automating my tank to death) but because looking at your Frags makes me.....

GREEN with Envy!!

But I can't stop looking. Addicted again to your Eye Candy. GREAT STUFF. (Ouch!)

Fed the fish, left for a few hours, came back to find my sunburst anthias dying. Sucked against the powerhead, and getting shredded by the Tomini tang. They never really fought before, but the tang was using his tail to slice him up as much as he could. He was so beaten up by then I scooped him out by hand and put him in the sump. Maybe he'll recover, maybe not.

The only thing I did differently today was add a little Hikari squid to their food. The only time I've had something similar happen right after feeding was when I had given some bad food.

Hopefully he'll recover... If not, then that completely sucks... Most people struggle to keep Sunburst Anthias, I've had mine for about 3 years now.

That really sucks Rakie I hope he makes it. They are my favorite fish and I was very bummed when mine passed.
