No, trust me, him with a tank would be a disaster
I think that was a hint that you have an excuse for a second tank. When he "gives up" you get to take it over.

This made me think about my husband with a tank. He constantly says the way we do things simply doesn't make sense for literally any other application, so I can imagine him doing everything the way he's convinced it should be done instead. I'd actually kind of love to see him do this, I'm curious if we really do "overcomplicate" everything the way he claims we do.

I think some things we do over complicate. My husband has no interest at all in a fish tank. He doesn’t even look at mine. However, he does like to brag to his friends how his wife maintains the big tank all by herself. :) He will help me with programming equipment though.

He absolutely does not want a tank at all. And according to him literally every single thing that is done with fish tanks is over complicated and done in some stupid fashion. Every single thing. We have one friend who keeps extremely large freshwater fish, and we have another friend who keeps salt water... anytime he listens to us talk he gets very annoyed.

Good morning, Heathens and happy Tuesday to 'ya!

I'm sorry I've been a bit quiet lately. My focus has been elsewhere. Johann is hanging in there, but he is struggling. I am giving him new injections and cold laser therapy which is helping. We've also increased the dosage on one of his medications (Gabapentin). He is comfortable for now.

Some updates:

The stuff that was ordered at the end of December and in January will start arriving today! Today a clam, Thursday and Friday, a boat-load of coral. I'm awaiting confirmation on the fish shipment (Purple Tang and Adorned Wrasse) and the inverts.

More camera equipment arrived- more on that at a later time. I haven't felt like taking pictures or making videos. It's hard to hold the camera steady whilst ugly crying...

I sold my truck, Deebo. Le sigh. The fuel cost for the 5.7l V8 was getting to be ridiculous, especially given a) it's piggish fuel economy, and 2) the 33 gallon tank.

So, I bought a Benz. Meet "Wolfgang":

Believe it or not, the note is considerably less per month than the 1500, and with it's fuel efficiency (even with the turbo), it will cost substantially less to operate. Plus, I got a little extra back from my equity.

Gator needs a little walkin' around money (IYKYK)...

will ferrell gator GIF

Anyways, now that my head is on straight I'll stop hiding. Can't promise I won't be ugly crying in the background, though. I'll try to get caught up on everyone's threads and (hopefully) post some pics later on today. I have to do some maintenance and get a haircut later. That means peopling. Ugh.

Keep it sleazy, Heathens!

Namaste

It is pink, but it is hard for me to capture the color. I'll have to play around with the filters later. Either way it's happy as a, well, umm... clam.

Just got word from Michael- the tang and wrasse ship tomorrow for Thursday delivery. This will unfortunately have to be my last tang until a tank upgrade (3 - 5 years). For note, however, The Dainty Dictator signed off on the upgrade.
