Take it apart and look at it.

You can now buy the shaft frame without buying a whole new side. Which should have been something offered much sooner. I ended up getting rid of my vortechs because buying a new $$$ wetside every time was unacceptable.

Ugh what the f $50 with shipping :face-with-tears-of-joy:

That’s half the price of a new wet side, and 1/3 the price of a Jecod!

May be time to go to the dark side and get one of the Chinese knockoffs!

Hopefully with their patent expiring soon they will be forced to innovate. As an example of how much ecotech is ripping people off, they'll sell you a battery back up for $220 that's 18 amp hours. You can buy a 20 amp LiFePO battery for $60, and spend $50 on a charge controller and get more battery for half the price. The battery will also likely have a much longer lifespan.

But just like Red Sea, every store pushes Ecotech.

You’ll have to be a little more specific. Searches only come up with a bunch of people complaining about problems they’ve had, and a few DIY fixes
I will try to provide links not that good at that

Is your wetside out of warranty? Normally ecotech will take care of you if it's in warranty with 0 issues.
While I haven't seen the jebao wetsides sold on their own, I can confirm that the dmp40 wet side is usable on an mp40 and vice versa(not sure if theres long term issues though) if you can source one for a low price

Out of warranty for one and the other was used. If I end up needing to replace the wet side I'll definitely consider just going with the Jecods instead!
