I’ve bought one and win one. The one I bought arrived a couple of weeks ago. It is fantastic. The original it’s-308 was great so long as you checked and adjusted the calibration as needed. The WiFi model with plastic probe is fantastic. It programs faster from the app. Not having to get up and go look at a thermometer is also very nice. I know controllers are fun and really nice to have. But the ITV-308 gives you computer control of your temperature at a fraction of the price. Not to mention the safety of running your heater with an external relay.

I like the wifi part of both. Despite checking the temp daily, it'd be nice to be able to be lazy and do it via an app.
The WiFi is really nice when setting the controller up. The remote notifications would also be nice In the case of a temperature issue. But when at home there is no need to check it as there is an alarm to tell you when it gets too hot or cold.

The inkbird seems to be a economical controller that with it's versatility would make one feel safe that it is maintaining the proper temperatures at all times.
I have been using them for about 5 years now. They do everything I need them to in a very simple way. They take only a minute or two to set up and I have never had one fail. I started using them to do crock pot sous vide and gained confidence in them quickly. Then decided to try one on a pea puffer tank of my kids. More confidence gained.

Once in salt water though, the metal probes corroded and caused the calibration to drift. Really not that big of a deal so long as you check your controllers calibration at each water change and make adjustments as necessary. Now, they have an aquarium specific WiFi model (Of which, I bought one and won one three days apart) with a plastic probe that corrects the probe corrosion issue. If you are on a budget or just don't want to over complicate it, this is a great way to protect your aquarium.

I am not making this recommendation because I won one. I am making it because its a great product. It takes a lot to make be give a positive review on something. I wont run a tank without one now.

Official Entry: I like that there is an app, that will make it so much easier instead of finding my current thermometer that my snails always take a ride on.
