@randyBRS fantastic video... I would need advice; in a 120x55x55(cm) full sps reef, which combination of radion g5 do you recommend? also which variant to choose? blue or pro? With diffusers or not?

2 g5 xr30
2 g5 xr30 + 4t5 54watt or 2 led bars
3 g5 xr30
3 g5 xr15 + 4t5 54watt or 2 led bars

@randyBRS can you tell me the difference between the three RMS mounts? Does the new mount change the mounting height of the fixture? Can I use the G5 mount with a G4, or do I need the G4 mount with G4 adapter?

hey guys nice work as always... in your testing .. might I suggest as I would love to see the results.. the max height you can put these or other lights above the tank and still get good par. This info would be nice for me and others with deep tanks.. mine is at 31" deep. I like having some room and not having to move lights all the time for simple cleaning and tasks.

@randyBRS what would you use for a 18inch wide tank. A 90 gallon 4 foot. I currently use two xr15 g4. In your 750xxl you used two rows of xr15 at 27inch wide.
I have same tank build and was wondering same thing. I was thinking 3 xr15 because of recommended spread was 18inches for these fixture. Would love to get away with two fixtures though. How does your 2 gen4s do now on your 90gal?

They say there rates for 24inchs but I have mine more in the center and have a hot spot in the center and shadow at the edges. If your using a wire mounting kit you could raise them and achieve your goal. I'm debating getting the aquatic life hybred or just buying another xr15 for now.

I'm working on this... it's on my to-do list to measure with some calipers today.

Pro or Blue? What’s your preference?

Me personally, I'm going with the Blue on my 60gal tank. Some say it's a bit too blue for them (but you can always turn the blues down), but it's just fine by me and I can use 100% of all channels then tune down the point intensity to hit my PAR goals.

Having only tested the XR30s thus far, I'd personally start with two fixtures for that size of tank. When the tank fully matures I would retest PAR and look for ways to optimize the light spread, by perhaps adding an additional XR15 if necessary.

My guess is that when we test the XR15s, we might find that 3x or 4x will work just as well, however I can't make that claim until I see the data. I can say that I don't see the need to add additional T5s or LED bars to these fixtures, which is a bold statement for me, because I love nothing more than a T5 only tank...but these Radions are growing on me. :)

@randyBRS thank you so much. I think then that I will start with the xr15 at least 3 and in the meantime I hope to see your review on the x15 g5. In the end aren't they the perfect half of the xr30? further information in your opinion at what distance from the water surface should I mount them? if my rock has a width of 35 cm starting from the rear glass, do I have to mount my lights to cover the rock or in the exact center of the tank?
