I haven't posted in awhile. Not much has been going on with the tank (until tonight). The clam is still a favorite and is growing. My pistol shrimp has messed with a couple of the rfa and caused them to move from his territory. it cracks me up when he gets upset and pops over and over at them. Everything has been generally happy...or so I thought. I have always thought pajama cardinal were peaceful. I like that they seem a little dopey and just float about. Tonight I was walking down the hall and glanced at the tank and was stopped dead in my tracks. The lights were on their way down for the night and he was in the back corner. I noticed white around its face and when I leaned in I noticed the sexy shrimp hanging out of his mouth. I was shocked. My wife absolutely loves those little shrimp so I decided to rehome him in my other tank. As is chased him with the net he spit the shrimp out. I was shocked again as it fluttered down to the rock and bounced away looking thankful and annoyed. After rehoming the cardinal I made a count on the sexy shrimp and only count 5 so I'm assuming this wasn't his first snack. Has anyone else had problems with them munching inverts?

I dont have many choices for quality stores in my area. I drive 2 hours for a decent shop. I got off work early Friday and drove up to see if they had anything new in. He told me they finally opened their shop in a town half way between his shop and my house. I stopped on the way through and picked up a new fish. I am still a little worried that he it will mess with the sexy shrimp but so far he seems to care less. Let me introduce you to Frank.

Matted or other Filefish? If so, they are neat fish. Coral nippers mostly soft and lps. Mine tore through my Duncan sadly but something I'm willing to accept since it keeps aptasia in check. Clearly in my plumbing lines and/or overflow box but it does an amazing job in my display :D

I'm not which type it is. I do have a couple zoas in the tank but it is mostly anemone.

I fell asleep early last night and didn't feed the tank. I felt guilty so I decided to feed frozen food tonight and give some to the btas. While the flow was off I noticed some orange in the corner. It was about the size of a small zoa. Looking closer I realized it is a tiny rfa so at some point i had a spawn in my tank.
Warning warning very low quality picture inbound.

I tried picking it up to get a better picture but it is irritated. I put it in my feeding dish with a shell hoping it will open back up.

I used to feed my tank flake food and 2 or 3 times a month feed frozen to treat the nems. Then I picked up a picky eater who refuses to eat prepared food so Ive been feeding frozen daily. I must say I love the growth its been giving the nems especially the rainbow

However I find myself overfeeding now.... as a result I've got a bit of an algae outbreak.... still happy with how the tank is coming along though.

I picked up this goni frag for $10 a couple months ago. It is amazing and adds the movement i always wanted from my nems. Of course they always have a different idea of where they should be and what they should be doing. I was going to move the frag to my other tank but decided to add a spare chunk of reef saver rock and make i a permanent spot. Maybe they will get inspired to wave in the current....

Warning bad pictures inbound. I drove 2 hours to the lfs and picked up a new acan. I dipped like normal and glued it to a little chunk of reef saver. Later that night while feeding the tank I noticed something on the side of the acan. It was so small and I couldn't figure out what it was.

Figuring it had to be a pest I thoroughly covered it in super glue. Problem solved.
It wasn't until later when I found others that I realized what it was. All around the tank were multiple small specks of color. I then realized my rfa spawned again. They are small and hard to get pictures of but here are a few more.
