This tank is moving to this build thread https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/the-synergy-reef-v2-official-build-48-x-36-x-30.221122/

So after months of planning and years of changing systems and re-designing systems, I have finally started my new build.

Here are the specs of the system that I am planning:

    Tank: Reef Savvy 60" x 30" x 18" - Rimless 3 sided low iron

Overflow: Reef Savvy 24" Ghost Overflow build by Synergy Reef Systems.

Lighting: 48" - 8 BulbTek Light Elite T5 / LED Hybrid (DIY) 2 bulbs removed and LEDs placed in the strips

    Sump:
    48 x 20 x 16 Synergy Reef Systems custom of course

Skimmer CS-200 Cone skimmer with bubble blaster 2000

    Stand: Powder Coated 1" steel 60 x 30 x 38

Main Return Pump: Speedwave DC5000 (1320gph)

    Flow:
    2 x Tunze 6095

    Controller: Apex

Here is a photo of my last build:

For the Tek Elite fixture mod I am using the following:

Drivers: 2 x ELN 60-48D and 1 x Rapid LED dimmable nano driver

    LEDs: 10 x Cree XP-G Cool Whites, 12 x XT-E Royal Blue

Moonlights: 4 royal blue moonlight leds

Opening up the Tek Elite fixture.

Opened up and re-wiring the ballast end caps. Added 2 ELN60-48D Drivers to control the LEDs and 1 Rapid LED nano dimmable driver for the moonlights

LEDs mounted to the aluminum U channels:

I drilled holes for the new ballast plugs and also for the Cat5 cable for dimming controll:

Nice looking tank. Is that an internal or external C2C? hard to tell with the plastic wrap. Oh nevermind... didn't see the "Top Secret" in the first post.

Overflow: Top Secret Reef Savvy overflow build by Synergy Reef Systems. More details will be released at MACNA 2013.

Awesome Mike! Glad you enjoyed the last build, its been a few years :) This one should be as good if not better!

Keep posted on this thread as I will be unvailing info on it over time :crossedlips:

It's a sweet design and it will be a box that anyone can purchase and install themselves.

Started the sump build this weekend. Been busy with all the customers items that I have not had a chance to get the sump for this tank started until now :)

Here is a shot of our laser system cutting the holes in the refugium baffle. The laser allows the holes to be smooth and polished, not rough inside like a standard router would leave it. This means that no algae will build up in the holes clogging them.

Have you any specific thoughts on corals? being that it is only 18" tall your lights are going to be crazy intense. ALL SPS???

Its going to be mixed Chris. The center area will get most of the light since the fixture is 48" and the tank is 60". I plan on having low light corals on the outer side edges. The LEDs will be dimable so intensity is relevant.

You assume he'll keep it long enough for anything to grow out of it... we all know that won't happen, based on the last 4 tanks. :D
