The perfect saltwater reef aquarium in one sentence!

*DEEP BREATH* My tank is halfway there because i dont have corraline algae, which according to wikipedia, they are red algae in the order Corallinales, hey are characterized by a thallus that is hard because of calcareous deposits contained within the cell walls and the colors of these algae are most typically pink, or some other shade of red, but some species can be purple, yellow, blue, white, or gray-green, which is crazy, and I dont have enough corals, or they are too small.

Mine was getting closer to what I was looking to have, then I decided to move to larger quarters(tank) and due to an issue during the move I lost a modest chunk of corals . So I’m in a bit of recovery mode, but it’s getting better.

I wish I lived round tropical reefs, instead we have only one known coral around our “reefs” to my knowledge along with rather cold waters. The majority of our “reefs” are algae based over here in the UK.

I went with "Other". Tank crashed about 2 months back. I talked about it some in my build thread. My system as a whole is dialed in near perfect. I am just rebuilding colonies and adding in new colonies.

Voted almost there:

A perfect reef would be balanced with all parameters, healthy fish & coral thriving and growing (please elegance do not die on me), little to no algae, nice clear water, all equipment mounted and looking neat and tidy (raves from others would be a nice bonus ), sump organized, apex all programmed, all dosing automated, actually a fully automated tank (nearly there) so all I have to do is sit back with my feet on my desk (after I move the monitor) with a glass of wine and sigh with contentment (add 2 dogs at my feet and a cat or 2 or 4 to my lap or desk and voila! Perfection).

Whilst I love my reef there’s always something ‘going on’ and I’m always seeing new corals I’d like to incorporate - Living Reef in Dartford have so many - so I’m never seeing it as ‘complete’. My fish haven’t changed for nearly three years hence why I put ‘other’
