Brightwell, Seachem, and Tropic Marin are the brands I use most often for additives, but I’m not married to any one brand, I’ll use whatever is good and reasonably priced.

I use BRS bulk for Ca, Alk, and Mg. Nothing else. I refuse to add ANYTHING I can't test for.
I don't either, but you should (consider to) dose potassium though - that's easily testable and it gets depleted, especially if you have large refugium or ATS..

When it comes to additives for your saltwater reef aquariums we have many brands and products to choose from. I was thinking about these liquid additives and was wondering which ones were most used by the R2R community! So do me a solid and vote for the liquid brands you trust most for your tank. Let's talk about it!

1. What are your TOP 3 Liquid Additive "BRANDS" that you trust to use in your reef tank?

I only use two: white distilled apple cider vinegar and All For Reef. Though, I did use PurpleUp and Bactiv8 because I used mostly dry rock with only about 20% Live Rock in the pound per gallon ratio with 20 pounds of live sand.

@Skibi

What specific elements have you added that have made your tank look amazing? What type of corals are you keeping?

Honestly, there's not a ton of liquid stuff I dose. My calcium reactor handles the bulk of the dosing.

I do regularly dose Acropower (TLF), and Koralcolor (BW), and BRS Calcium and Mag when I need to dial in adjustments.

I haven’t heard of a product called Moonshine, but I have heard of the moonshine method. It’s an additive management approach to reefing that eliminates The need for water changes.

edit: just looked up Reef Moonshiners
