This month we're doing something special with the Tunze Giveaway. We have a special prize as we have one of the new Tunze Macro Algae Reactors (MAR) 3181 to give away so we needed a special way to get entered. THE WINNER WILL BE ONE OF THE FIRST TO OWN ONE OF THESE REACTORS!

So since we needed something special what better cause than this? This thread was brought to my attention and I think it's something we could all get involved in and help make a child happier. To make a long story short the 13 year old son of one of our members, @Brett S, was diagnosed with a very rare disease and we could help make his day by sending him postcards! Winning Prize: Tunze MAR Reactor 3181 (valued around $350) shipped to your door

The Macro Algae Reactor MAR 3181 is specially constructed to cultivate algae in seawater and plants in freshwater.
Chaetomorpha "Spaghetti Algae" is cultured by many marine aquarists to eliminate nitrates and phosphates from the aquatic biotope. It is absolutely sufficient to harvest a handful of algae from time to time to maintain the biological balance in an aquarium – an economical and easy alternative to many chemicals or resins.
Naja Grass, Najas guadalupensis, can be grown to purify freshwater systems,
such as cichlid biotopes.
TUNZE® MAR 3181 can be placed in any filter basin or next to the aquarium without external filter technology.
The water circulation in the reactor ensures the rotation of the algae culture and thus reduces the number of light sources accompanied by strong plant growth. However, additional light sources can be added to the device as needed.

Entries accepted through May 22nd, 2019. The winner will be chosen by random draw and announced on May 23rd, 2019.

At the end of the contest we will choose the winner via a random number generator. The winner's username will be tagged in the winning announcement.
