If you are reasonably handy, you can fashion your own acyclic box for top down photo or viewing. Put something on the bottom to keep the acyclic box from scratching and mess up the bottom surface when you put it down on flat surface. Need to be large enough for phone or SLR camera and clamp on the side of the tank so you can have hand free to take pictures.
Attached are pictures of mine. Not the best or cleanest acyclic works but it is watertight and gives excellent results.

Here are a few more. I’m running out of photo subjects… until I can buy more corals, etc. unfortunately my fish were being camera shy today.

Side note: I’ve been considering trying to sell prints, but I keep fighting with myself on if I should try to open a shop or not (not sure there is a market).

Nice idea! There is a company that makes a magnetic photo box for corals that I’ve been really considering purchasing when I get a little bit more money. Same concept but in the tank. I haven’t seen/heard much reviews on it though.

I probably should start a new thread for this question, but I’m curious if anyone has used the PNW custom photo boxes (mini or regular)? I’ve been seriously considering one.

Still working on saving for some new corals… both for enjoyment and pictures… but I don’t think I’ve posted a picture of my jawbreaker mushroom. It’s so bright and the texture is fun to look at. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I’m trying to bring reef photography back one pic at a time!

Yesterday I spent some time practicing to get some really close macro shots. It’s much harder than I thought to get these kind of shots, but I think they turned out nicely.

I haven’t been posting my pics lately to instagram, but I plan to start doing that more. Feel free to follow me if desired: Instagram page

Thanks for looking! Always open to feedback and comments. :D
