That looks like a good order! I’ve been wanting a branching cyphastrea forever. Hope to find a place for one in my new build.

Thanks, I’m pretty excited for this order to arrive. It’s a good mix of colors and corals I’ve been specifically wanting like the branching cyphastrea. I hope I can find a place in my tank where it will do well, I think it will be the trickiest one to place.

I repurposed an old cutting board from the kitchen to mount the power supplies. They are pretty heavy and I didn’t want them laying on the floor of the stand.

‘There’s absolutely no glare even from this angle. The reeflectors are amazing. It makes a big difference to not need a shade anymore.

I still need to do some wire management. I believe I’m set up on the default LPS setting and I’ve selected a 15 day acclimation period. I’m not really comfortable messing around with the settings too much at the moment. I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
Special thanks to Daniel at Reefi @danlu_gt for meeting up with me at the LFS last week so I could pick up my Unos personally rather than put them through shipping. I really appreciated that a lot.

You are officially on your was to SPS!
I don’t know about that. SPS means testing and dosing and I’m very lazy with testing. I might try a lower light needing SPS as a test someday but I don’t even know what that would be. Any suggestions? There definitely will not be any copying of that Battlebox you just got.

New FTS today with my iPhone which seems to do better than my iPad for pictures.

Loving the new lights so far. I am seeing some better coloration and the light is definitely spread more evenly throughout the tank. I don’t know if it’s T5 style blanket coverage but it looks pretty good. I may need to look into a different filter for my camera. This one has turned out more purple that it looks in real life. Also looks darker. I’ll have to mess with it some more. I’m not a great photographer.

Soooooo, I stopped by Saltwater City in Bellevue today to grab a Neptune Salinity Calibration packet. Almost bought some acclimated to saltwater Mollies but I’m worried they won’t go where I really need them to go in the tank because of the flow which is at it’s highest where the problem algae is in my tank. As I’m browsing I see a basket with little Rainbow BTA’s and I’ve wanted a BTA for a while but they are almost always $150+ and I just ain’t paying that much for a nem. These little ones were only $65 and I thought if not now then when am I ever going to do this. So I did it.

Parked it right next to the patch of Devil’s Armor Zoas where the clowns live. It’s way too small for them now but hopefully someday they move over 4 inches and live in something they are supposed to live in. Assuming it stays there that is. 34609D98-F18B-49F3-AE86-A01EA1311434.jpeg

Looks real nice where it is.

Nems are great. That’s a great deal too!
I thought so, at least for around here. Green ones are less but anything else is at least $99 and usually $150+. It’s small but I like small. I’d rather grow it out myself.

Lights look great. Your tank is 30"L correct? How far off the water do you have the lights? I'm strongly considering 2 myself.

Thank you. My display area is 30” long, 20” wide and 16” deep. The lights are about 10 inches above the water line. I don’t have a real good reason for that height, I just eyeballed them to be a little higher than the Radion was. It seems to be working out so far. It’s early but I’m really enjoying these lights, the tank looks better than before and the corals seem to be responding positively. Two sources of light is really needed with 30” of width to avoid shadowing and dark spots on the sides.
What tank will you be putting the Unos over?

I think the documentation recommends the lights be 11-12inches off the water. I've got a reef savvy i'm putting together. 36x24x20(LxWxH) I've just been concerned I may need 3.

36x24 is a nice footprint, not too big but lots of depth For the scape. I would think two Unos at the proper height would be just fine. Tag me when you start your build thread, I want to see what you do. Do you already have the tank or is it being built?

I'm stoked about it, it is a great size. I've done the large tank in the past and I really just want something I can enjoy and won't cost me an arm and a leg to build and appreciate. I've already got it. It's going to be a few months as we're in the process of moving into our new home, which needs a ton of work and that comes first, especially as the wall its going on needs to be painted first and that's a little ways off as I got some exterior repairs to make before it gets too hot. I'm hoping to start setting it up in May(I'd like to say early, but it'll likely be the end or even early June.)

The bigger Zoa at the end of the front row and the yellow centered Zoa in the back row were already there. The other 7 are the new ones. I really like the nice sized chunk of branching cyphastrea I received, it’s much bigger than expected.
