Okay guys... update. Found big fat momma and daddy worms today. Gigantic nasty thing. Got a positive fireworm ID off of google. Thanks y’all for helping! Anybody know how to get rid of them? Or how many babies there are (if the original thingamajiggy was a baby)? I assume I got them through the live rock.

I don't like those thingamajiggys! I had a huge thingamajiggy in my tank once and caught it with a bristleworm trap. Do they still make those things? It was a long skinny plastic tube where you could put bait in one end, but the opening was too small for anything else to crawl in. It worked!

If you've ever seen a fireworm in person you can't really mistake it for a brisleworm.
You called it "thingamajiggy" which is apt.
Now, if you called it "aaaaaahhhhhh! Ooh my God" and knocked women and children aside to escape, then i would say that is probably a fireworm.
